More Phishing and Fraud
Phishing attempts continue unabated in banking. Phishing is generally used to solicit personal information to commit fraud, such as Identity Theft, Account Take Over, or Credit Card Fraud. Please continue to be aware and learn to recognize the signs of attempted fraud and you can protect your financial assets. PLCU will never contact you by e-mail and require you to click on a link to "update" your information.
If you suspect you've received a fraudulent e-mail, supposedly representing Point Loma Credit Union, forward it to us immediately at security@plcu.com.
Here’s an e-mail phishing attempt received this week by some PLCU members:

|
- Notice they use our logo.
- They urge you to immediate action.
- They want you to click on a link which looks like it goes to PLCU.
- Where they hope you will give up your most important data
Always Remember... Point Loma Credit Union will never send you an e-mail and ask you to "update your account".
